Jake was born Jacob Christian in Southern California. Mostly, he grew up in Florida and Tennessee. He then went to college and ended up spending ten years of his life in Massachusetts. Since 1999, he has been living in Colorado.

Jake lives with his wife, a dog, a cat, his mother-in-law and her two dogs.

To entertain himself (and hopefully others) our protagonist maintains a weblog about stuff in general called BlahStuff. He also keeps a weblog about poker called Flopped the Nuts (Jake enjoys double-entendre.). Both of these weblogs used to have much more content, but a web host got hacked and died. Jake would like to remind everyone to make regular backups of their data.
